Course Name: Excel: Payroll Analysis
CPD Hours: 2
Type: Online/Video
Price: $120 $108
Description:
Payroll related tasks in Excel are often repetitive in nature, and spreadsheet errors can personally affect someone's pay. In this presentation, we shows how to save time calculating hours and payroll taxes, working with dates/times in Excel, color-coding subsets of data with conditional formatting, password protecting payroll files and worksheets, and using pivot tables to summarize payroll data. You'll even see how to randomly select employees for drug testing or other purposes.
We demonstrates every technique at least twice: first, on a PowerPoint slide with numbered steps, and second, in Excel 2016. He draws your attention to any differences in Excel 2013, 2010, or 2007 during the presentation as well as in his detailed handouts. We also provides an Excel workbook that includes most of the examples he uses during the webcast.
Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
- Apply the Text to Columns feature to convert Social Security numbers to values and then apply Excel’s Social Security number format.
- Define how to assign random numbers to a data set in Excel.
- Recall how to remove Conditional Formatting when it’s no longer needed.
